CLINICAL ASSESSMENTS 

Psychology One to One, led by Maryanne, offers clinical assessments, diagnoses, and referrals. Maryanne, a highly experienced and qualified clinical assessor, provides adult psychological testing, diagnostic evaluations, and report-writing services. These assessments include a series of tests and a clinical interview and are available to individuals and other agencies seeking psychological test results for Workcover and NDIS. These assessments can help identify strengths and weaknesses, provide treatment recommendations, and address specific referral questions.

Complete and comprehensive adult ADHD assessment, diagnosis and report:

Maryanne offers comprehensive assessments to diagnose Adult ADHD. This thorough assessment includes several different tests and a clinical interview to identify deficits in executive functioning, attention and focus, emotional regulation and hyperactivity, which are all indicative of Adult ADHD.

 

Full cognitive assessment:

Maryanne conducts professional cognitive and psychometric assessments for adults using the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS).  This assessment -

  • Assesses cognitive functioning in people with psychiatric conditions

  • Assess functioning in people with brain injury

  • Evaluates patterns of brain dysfunction

  • It is used for diagnostic purposes

  • It can determine a persons I.Q.

 

It provides insights into deficits in memory, executive functioning or neurocognitive disorders.  A full written report detailing the results and recommendations is included in this service.

Personality Assessment:

Personality tests are designed to systematically elicit information about a person's motivations, preferences, interests, emotional make-up, and style of interacting with people and situations. There are several reasons why a person might take a personality test, including:

  • Diagnosing psychological problems

  • Looking at changes in personality

  • Occupational counselling

  • Relationship counselling

  • Forensic settings – risk assessments are used to establish competence and child custody disputes.

 

Mental Illness Test:

​Psychological testing is utilised to confirm diagnosis and assist in the proper treatment planning. These include tests that screen –

  • Mood Disorders –including depression, bipolar disorder I and II

  • Anxiety

  • Stress

  • Personality disorders – e.g Borderline Personality Disorder  

  • Screening for Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Screening for ADHD

  • PTSD and C-PTSD
